The detailed survey showed that the total cost of adaptation will
be approximately £40,850 of which, after deducting Exchequer Grant and the
cost for which private owners will be responsible, the Council will be
responsible for payments amounting to £16,145.
The Order was made on the 28th October, 1970, and was awaiting confirmation by the Secretary of State for the Environment at the end of the year.
