REMEDIAL FOOT CLASSES
With the continued co-operation of the head teachers, remedial
classes were held in eight primary schools and 190 (256) children
were treated by teachers who have attended special classes at the
College of Physical Education, Overall supervision was given by
a medical officer who visited each class at regular intervals.

B.C.G. VACCINATION FOR 13-YEAR OLD CHILDREN
A medical officer, together with a clerical assistant, visited
9 (4) schoolso
There were 2,876 (710) children eligible for B.C.G. vaccination.
The parents of 2,043 (520) children gave their consent and out of
this number 1,322 (382) were skin-tested and read. Of these 1,209
(343) children were vaccinated. The remaining 113 (39) were found
to be positive reactors.
In 1969 the programme was not completed due to staff shortage,
and the figures for 1970 therefore include the back-log so arising.
