Malignant disease of the lungs
A very disturbing feature of recent years has been the
marked increase of deaths from cancer or other malignant
disease of the lungs. This is shown in the subjoined
table, where the corresponding figures for pulmonary tuberculosis
are given for comparison. The relation to the population
and general mortality is also indicated.
