Milk
During the year 384 samples of milk were submitted to
the Public Analyst and, with the exception of one, were
found to be of genuine composition. A warning was sent to
the producer of the adulterated sample.

The following table shows percentages of milk fats and non-fat solids of the genuine samples taken during each month:-

Under Article 20 of the Milk and Dairies Regulations, 1949,
the Medical Officer of Health is empowered to prevent the sale
of milk in his area from any registered premises where he is
satisfied that any person is suffering from disease caused by consumption
of the milk, or that the milk is infected with disease
communicable to man.
