BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS
All bacteriological examinations were carried out at the Public
Health Laboratory at County Hall under its Director, Dr. A.J.H.
Tomlinson.
No charge was made to the Council for these examinations and during the year 955 were made as follows Throat/Nose Swabs

The Public Health Department has an arrangement with Chelsea
Doctors whereby specimens left at the office by 3.0 p.m. Mondays to
Fridays, and 11.0 a.m. on Saturdays are delivered by hand to the
Laboratories the same day. This service was used extensively.
