BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS
All bacteriological examinations are carried, out at the Public
Health Laboratory at County Hall under its Director, Dr. A.J.H. Tomlinson.
No charge is made to the Council for these examinations and
during the year 1267 were made as follows

Staphylococcus aureus found 1

Salmonella typhimurium found 3
Salmonella saint paul found 1

The Public Health Department has an arrangement with Chelsea Doctors
whereby specimens left at the office by 3.0 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, and
11.0 a.m. on Saturdays are delivered by hand to the Laboratories the same
day. This service is used extensively.
