BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS
All bacteriological examinations are carried out at the Public
Health Laboratory at County Hall under its Director, Dr. A.J.H. Tomlinson.
No charge is made to the Council for these examinations and
during the year 1610 were made as follows

54.0 faecal specimens which are included in the foregoing were
arranged and collected by this Department with the approval and cooperation
of local medical practitioners and school authorities.
The Public Health Department has an arrangement with Chelsea Doctors
whereby specimens left at the office by 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, and
11 a.m. on Saturdays are delivered by hand to the Laboratories the same
day. This service is used extensively.
