BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS
All bacteriological examinations are carried out at the Public Health
Laboratory at County Hall under its Director, Dr. A.J.H. Tomlinson.

No charge is made to the Council for these examinations and during the year 1601 were made as follows:-

The following specimens which are. included in the above were arranged
and collected by this Department with the approval and co-operation of
local practitioners and school authorities; Throat/Nose Swabs 297 and
Faecal specimens 1019.
The Public Health Department has an arrangement with Chelsea Doctors
whereby specimens left at the offices by 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, and
11 a.m. on Saturdays are delivered by hand to the Laboratories the same day.
This service is used extensively.
