The provisions of the Act and the Poisons Rules relating to the relating
of poisons specified in Part II of the Poisons List wave administered throughout,
the year.
The number of listed sellers placed on the Council's register was 47.
All applications are investigated to ensure that records are properly
maintained, labelling efficiently performed, storage accommodation adsquste and
that gales are made only by employees nominated on the application forms. In
every instance it was found that the requirements of the Act and Poisons Rules
were being complied with, whilst subsequent enquiries revealed that all cancerned,
were well aware of their responsibilities in such matters.
As a general rule the poisons retailed were insecticides, rodent exterminants,
hair dyes, and household ammonia.

considered by the Public Health Committee each Spring. When approval has been
expressed to applications, appropriate entries are made for a period of twelve
months (1st May to 30th April).
