INSPECTION AND SUPERVISION OF FOOD
As required by current legislation, registers are maintained of all
persons carrying on trades connected with the manufacture, storage and
sale of food.
From time to time letters and notes in connection with the "Handling,
Wrapping and Delivery of Food are circulated to traders and their staffs,
and generally speaking, this action was much appreciated.
The following summary gives details of the types of businesses receiving the attention of the Public Health Department:-

sweet shops.
As required under Section 14 of the Food and Drugs Act, 1938, or
other local acts, the registrations of 101 premises for the storage and
sale of Ice Cream, and 40 premises for the sale of Preserved Foods, are
effective.
