MATERNITY AND CHILD WELFARE SERVICES
The following information has been kindly provided by Dr. V.I. Russell,
Medical Officer for Division 1 of the London County Council (which comprises
the Boroughs of Chelsea, Falham, Hammersmith and Kensington). This particular
section of Public Health work has been the concern of the County Council since
5th July, 1948.
In the day-to-day administration of Maternity and Child Welfare services,
the Divisional Medical Officer receives the assistance of the Madical Officers
of Health to the Boroughs forming Division I.
