MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS
During the year, forty-four examinations were carried out to
ascertain whether persons appointed to fill positions in the
Council's employment were fit for admission to the authority's
superannuation scheme. As a result of the examinations
42 proved successful;
1 was referred for re-examination; and
1 proved unacceptable for superannuation purposes.
PUBLIC MORTUARY FACILITIES
For some years past no premises have been maintained as a
Mortuary in this Borough, but under an agreement made with
Hammersmith Borough Council adequate arrangements exist at that
authority's mortuary in Fulham Palace Road, W.6, premises which
are, incidentally, adjacent to the Coroner's Court for this area.
