CLASSIFICATION OF DEATHS. Tho causos of deaths (502) were as
follows:- Tuberculosis of rospiratory system 19; other forms
of tuberculosis 5; Syphilitic disoases 8; Influonza 3;
Moaslcs 1; Acuto InfoctiousEncephalitis 2; Cancer (various
sitos) 79; Diabotos 1; Intra-Cranial Vascular lesions 33;
Hoart disease 129; other diseases of circulatory system 19;
Bronchitis 26; Pnoumonia 38 other rospiratory diseases 10;
Ulceration of stomach or duoacnum 5; Diarrhoea under 2 years 2;
Appendicitis 1; other digestive diseases 15; Nephritis 19;
Puerperal sepsis 1; Premature Birth 8; Congenital malformations
birth injurios, etc., 3; Suicide 6; Road Traffic accidents 2;
other violent causes 23; all othor causes 44.
PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES IN THE BOROUGH.
BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS. The total number carried out
was 83, including 66 for the bacillus associated with Diphtheria.
NURSING IN THE HOME. The total number of visits paid by tho
nurses from the Chelsea District Nursing Association was 1319
(167 cases).
CLINICS MID_TREATMENT CENTRES. The total number of attendances
at the Clinics by children under one year of age was 2813. 946
children attended between tho ages of 1 and 5 years. There
were 1232 attendances by mothers at the ante-natal clinic and 21
mothers attended the post-natal clinic.
INVALID CHILDRENS AID ASSOCIATION. The number of applications
referred to the Association for assistance of childron under 5
years of age was 46 (actual cases 35).
