Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Last year I had with regret to draw the
attention of the Council to the increase in
the amount of adulteration of food, since the
outbreak of the war. The percentage of
adulterated foods has increased again in 1942
with the result that the percentages of
adulterated samples reported during the last
few years are as follows:-
