MATERNAL MORTALITY.
During the year onte deaths was primarily classified as due directly
to complications of pregnancy or childbirth.
In the case of every maternal death the circumstances are fully
investigated by the Medical Officer of Health, the findings beingrteported
to the Ministry of Health.
