The death rate from all forms of Tuberculosis in Chelsea was 0.78
per 1,000. Of the total number of deaths (44) from all forms of Tuberculosis,
died non-notified or prior to notification. The ratio of nonnotified
tuberculosis deaths to total tuberculosis deaths was therefore
as 1 is to 4. The corresponding ratio for 1937 was 1 : 3. Making
allowance for difficult and doubtful cases in which a diagnosis cannot
be established until after death, the notification of tuberculosis is carried
out fairly efficiently in the Borough.

commencement of the Quarter;
(b.) The number of cases notified under the Regulations for the
first time during the Quarter;
(c.) The number of cases removed from the Register during a
preceding Quarter which have been restored to the Register during
the Quarter, giving the name and address of each such case and
the reasons for the restoration;
(d.) The number of cases added to the Register during the Quarter
which have been brought to notice otherwise than by notification
under the Regulations;
(e.) The number of cases removed from the Register during the
Quarter giving the name and address of each such case and the reason
for such removal; and
