HOME NURSING.
The arrangement whereby the trained nurses of the Chelsea District
Nursing Association undertake, when requested by the Medical Officer
of Health, the home nursing of measles, german measles, whooping
cough, ophthalmia, enteritis and any other disease for which nursing
assistance is required, continues to give satisfaction. Medical practitioners
in the Borough greatly appreciate the assistance they thus receive.
No occasion has arisen where a request for nursing assistance has not been
met promptly, even in times of pressure. The following Table No. 45
shows, for the past two years, the number of visits paid by the District
Nurses to the homes of expectant and nursing mothers and children
under five years of age, while Table No. 46 shows the conditions which
necessitated attendance during the year 1928: —
