Board of Works for the Limehouse District,
Sanitary Department.
To Dr. D. L. Thomas,
Medical Officer of Health
and Public Analyst.
Sir,
We have much pleasure in submitting our tabulated
statement showing the amount of work performed by us during
the past year, the details of which came under the notice and
supervision of Drs. G. A. Rogers, S. B. Stedman, and yourself.
Although an increase in the general work of the District
has occurred, we have been able to give attention to the inspection
of Houses let in Lodgings, and to Workshops.
Diligent attention has been given throughout the year to
the Meat, Fish, Fruit and Vegetables exposed for sale in the
shops and thoroughfares in the District.
The cases of Infectious Disease have had our immediate
attention and constant vigilance day and night, and occasionally
on Sundays.
We are,
Yours obediently,
JOHN WILLIAM JOHNSON,
GEORGE OSBORNE PAVITT,
EDWIN THOMAS CROOK.
