4. The rebuilding of houses in the district is being continued,
Hare Street, Powis Street, William Street, Brewer Street, etc., being
practically re-built. Mention should also be made of a new block of
model dwellings near the Lord Howick, Woolwich Road.
5. The completion of the pumping station and reservoirs, etc.,
and the construction of the main sewer in connection with North
Woolwich Drainage, the whole scheme of which is now approaching
completion.
I have, in conclusion, to acknowledge my indebtedness to the Committee
for their continued support, and to the Sanitary Inspectors for
their loyal co-operation, and the conscientious discharge of their
respective duties. To Mr. J. A. Arnold, the Clerk of the Department,
my thanks are especially due, for the very able manner in which he has
discharged his duties.
