The total number of samples analysed was 258, comprising:—
Milk, 93 samples; butter, 55; cheese, 7; margarine, 6; lard, 6;
groceries, 61; spirits, 14; and disinfectants, 16.

Of these there were found to be adulterated:—Milk, 17 samples; butter, 14; groceries, 4; disinfectants, 2; and margarine, 1; this last not being labelled.
