Summarising the details of the Register, it is found that
of the 247 bakehouses, 100 (i.e., 40.5 per cent.) are completely
underground; 22 (i.e., 8.9 per cent.) partly underground;
and 125 (i.e., 50.6 per cent.) entirely above
ground, varying in the different New Wards as follows:—
