Seventy-first annual report on the health and sanitary condition of the Metropolitan Borough of Islington

taken under the "Milk and Dairies Amendment Act, 1922," resulting in convictions
in each case with penalties and costs amounting to £3 3s. 14 other
summonses were taken out under the "Milk and Cream Regulations, 1912 and
1917," seven of the defendants being convicted and fined £2 and ordered to pay
£15 15s. costs. The other 7 summonses were withdrawn,.
Informal Sampling.—The informal samples included 3 samples of Butter,
1 Honey with Comb, 3 Cheshire Cheese, 1 Chicken and ham Roll, 1 Chicken,
Ham and Tongue Roll, 1 Puff Paste, 2 Apples and 1 Cherry Jam. None of these
were adulterated.

Milk.—The qualitative result of the Analyses of the Milk samples, which have now been published for many years, are as follows :
