Hospital Isolation.—Of the 1,918 cases of infectious diseases notified,
1,852 were isolated in hospital, or a percentage of 96.5 while only 3.5 per cent, of
the patients, therefore, were nursed at home. With two exceptions this is the
highest number on record.
