REPORT OF THE PUBLIC ANALYST ON THE ANALYTICAL
WORK OF THE YEAR.
Analytical Laboratory,
Town Hall, Paddington, W.
2nd February, 1922.
To the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors
of the Metropolitan Borough of Hampstead.
Mr. Mayor, Ladies, and Gentlemen,
Reviewing the analytical work of the past year we find a total of
504 samples were analysed. Of these, 323 were milk samples, only 1 of
which was adulterated.
Butter showed 45 samples, of which only 1 was adulterated. Drugs
numbered 7, all genuine.
The total percentage of defective samples amounted to only 1½ per
cent. This is a purity of Food and Drugs excelled by no other Borough
taking a similar number of samples.
I have the honour to remain,
Yours obediently,
ALF. W. STOKES,
Public Analyst.
