AGE MORTALITY. The age mortality and the distribution of the deaths between the different quarters of the year is shown by the following table:—

INFANTILE MORTALITY.
The Infantile Mortality Rate measured by the deaths of children
under one year of age to the number of births registered, was 69
per 1,000 births, there having been a total of 135 such deaths
during the year, as compared with 121, 129 and 154, the respective
figures for the years 1922, 1923, and 1924.
A further reference to the Infantile Mortality Rate will be
found in the Section devoted to the Maternity and Child Welfare
Scheme.
For the whole of London the rate was 67, compared with 69
in 1924, 60 in 1923, and 74 in 1922. For England and Wales the
the rate was 75, compared with 75 in 1924, 69 in 1923, and 77
in 1922.
Locally the variations were from 26 per 1,000 births in Kidbrooke,
67 in Charlton, 69 in East Greenwich, 81 in West Greenwich,
to 84 in St. Nicholas, Deptford.
