21 water supplies have been altered so as to draw direct from the
main; water supply provided in 13 instances, and cleansing, repairing
and covering cisterns in 5 cases.
Complaints have been received from time to time respecting
the water supply in one portion of this Borough, but on the matter
being taken up with the Metropolitan Water Board it was found
that the altered character of the water was doubtless caused by
the temporary chlorination of the same by that Board in the process
of its purification, and when this had been explained to the
complainants their fear have been allayed.

Legal Proceedings under the Public Health (London) Act, 1891, and By laws during the year 1921.
