RETURN CASES.
Notes,
Return case not notified until 17th January—too late for investigation.
Notification of return case late—interval over long. Very doubtful case altogether.
E. S , herself a return case in October, 1897. On return home she had nasal discharge and
some scaliness of skin, hardly sufficient to be called desquamation.
A. H., congested throat and hard glands in neck on 13th January. Mother had sore throat
after A. H's return.
D. R. and K. M. return cases themselves. On 22nd January, D. R. desquamating feet and leg
(left). K. M scaly arms and remains of cracked nostrils.
J. H. Muco-purulent discharge from nose on 4th April, with cracks in nostrils and sores on
chin: glands of neck hard
E. B., reported to have bad some desquamation on legs since return. Harsh, scaly skin, and
chronic scurf of head only points noticed.
F. H., full congested throat, with adenoids.
B. B., nasal discharge and scaly patch behind ear.
E. R., discharge from ears. Swab from throat, negative.
F. M., throat doubtfully congested: swab from throat negative. Diagnosis of second case
somewhat doubtful.
A. W., no indication. Swab from throat negative.
