No cases of Smallpox, Cholera, Typhus Fever, Cerebro-spinal Fever,
Malaria, Dysentery, Trench Fever, Continued Fever, Relapsing Fever,
Plague, Anthrax, Glanders or Hydrophobia were notified during the year.
DIPHTHERIA.
Notifications. During the year, 207 cases of diphtheria were notified,
as compared with 172 in 1925. The incidence of the disease during the
years 1925 and 1926 is shown in Table No. 28.
Deaths. Six deaths from the disease occurred in 1926, all in the
M.A.B. Hospitals. Four of the cases were under five years of age.
