No cases of Smallpox, Cholera, Typhus Fever, Cerebro-spinal Fever,
Poliomyelitis, Polio-encephalitis, Trench Fever, Continued Fever,
Relapsing Fever, Plague, Anthrax, Glanders or Hydrophobia were
notified during the year.
DIPHTHERIA.
Notifications. During the year, 172 cases of diphtheria were notified,
as compared with 81 in 1924. The incidence of the disease during the
years 1921-1925 is shown in Table No. 30.
Deaths. Seven deaths from the disease occurred in 1925, all in the
M.A.B. Hospitals. Four of the cases were under five years of age.
