Infectious and Other Diseases.
Measles.
There were 30 deaths from Measles in Chelsea in 1924. All these
deaths occurred within the first six months of the year. Seven of the
deaths being under 1 year of age, and the remainder between the ages
of 1-5 years. No deaths were registered for Chelsea in 1923, or in 1921,
but 11 deaths occurred in 1922.
During the year 1,104 visits, including revisits, were made by the
Sanitary Inspector (Miss Tettenborn) and the Health Visitor (Miss
Brown), as against 157 visits in 1923, and 439 in 1922.
The Nurses of the District Nursing Association paid 311 visits to
14 cases.
Seventy-eight cases were removed to hospital.
