When those persons who were non-parishioners, but who died in
our parish, have been deducted and the outlying deaths added, the
actual or "corrected" number of deaths belonging to the Sanitary
area is found to be 2,520, of which number 1,330 were males and
1,190 females.
The death-rate when calculated on this "corrected" number is
20.5 per 1,000 inhabitants, as against 21.2 for 1897.

years, 53 from 80 to 90 years, and 3 from 90 and upwards.

716 died under the age of 1 year, 387 from 1 to 5 years, 97
from 5 to 15 years, 110 from 15 to 25 years, 808 from 25 to 65
years, and 402 from 65 years and upwards.
