Of the 90 cases notified, 60 were removed to hospital with six
deaths a mortality of 10.0 per cent.
30 cases were treated at home with four deaths, a mortality of
13.3 per cent.
WHOOPING COUGH.
The deaths from this disease during the year were 45, as against
82 for 1897.
The annual rate per 1,000 living was 0.37.
