In addition to admissions to institutions provided by the London County Council 45 patients were admitted to St. James' Hospital.

The number of sputum examinations at the Tuberculosis
Dispensary during 1927 was 1,435, 390 (27.2 per cent.) of which
were positive. Of the total number of specimens examined 510
were sent by medical practitioners and 390 specimens were examined
for St. James' Hospital.
The number of reports sent to public bodies during 1927 was
1,041. Consultations with Medical practitioners at the homes of
their patients and reports on their patients sent to the Dispensary
numbered 965.
The number of reports received during the year in respect of insured persons was:—

One hundred and thirty-four patients were referred to
hospitals, 115 of which were sent to St. Thomas's Hospital
for X-ray examination.
