Report on the health of the Metropolitan Borough of Battersea for the year 1927

registered outside the Borough. The total (corrected) number of
deaths belonging to the Borough was 2,065 (males 1,012, females
1,053). This gives a recorded death-rate of 12.2 compared with
11.9 for London, and 12.3 for England and Wales.
According to the factor supplied by the Registrar-General,
for correction of death-rate in reference to age and sex distribution,
the corrected death-rate for Battersea during 1927 was 11.8.
