Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
There were 32 cases of ophthalmia neonatorum notified in
Battersea during 1925, as compared with 41 cases in 1924, 42 in
1923, 41 in 1922, 61 in 1921, and 105 in 1920. The rate per 1,000
births was 10.0, as compared with 13.1, 12.2, 11.2, 16.3 and
22.5 in 1924, 1923, 1922, 1921 and 1920 respectively.
The incidence of the disease and the rate per 1,000 births in the Borough, sub-districts and the wards is shown in the following table:—
