Metropolitan Borough of Deptford.
Public Health Department,
Town Hall,
New Cross Road, S.E. 14.
May, 1928.
To The Worshipful the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors of the
Metropolitan Borough of Deptford.
Madam Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you my seventh Annual Report
on the sanitary circumstances, sanitary administration and vital statistics
of the Borough, together with observations on the matters upon

higher than the rate in 1926? It is due to the fact that this rate is
calculated on the number of births in a given year. In 1926 the births
numbered 2,108, whilst in 1927 they numbered 1908—a fall of 200—
