The deaths registered in Deptford numbered 932 equalling a deathrate
of 8.2, as compared with 1,003 and a death-rate of 8.7 for the
preceding year. Of this number, 213 were non-parishioners. 663
deaths of Deptford residents occurred outside the Borough in public
institutions, etc., making a total of 1,382 deaths belonging to this
Borough. Of these 695 were males and 687 females.
The death-rate was 12.2, compared with a similar rate for the
preceding year.
The death-rate for England and Wales was 12.1, for the 96 Great
Towns 12.3, for the 148 Smaller Towns 11.3, and for the County of
London 12.4.
