The death-rate for Bethnal Green, 11.6, is the
same as that for the County of London and for
England and Wales as a whole.
The course of the death-rate during the last 30
years is shown in the graph inset, following page 24.
Infantile mortality and the mortality from tuberculosis
and other infectious diseases are subjects of
comment in other parts of this Report.
The causes of death among the population of
Bethnal Green are classified in the tables which
appear on pages 16 and 17.
