There was little variation in the work of the inspectors
during the year beyond a substantial reduction
in the number of visits required in infectious disease
cases and an almost corresponding increase in the
number of combined drainage visits.
At the end of the year two additional inspectors
were appointed, but they did not enter fully upon their
duties until 1926.

During the year 4,705 Preliminary Notices were
served requiring the remedying of Nuisances. 4,737
Statutory Notices were served. Formal letters giving
notice of legal proceedings were sent in 569 cases.
During the year nuisances at 6,969 premises were
abated.
