One sample of new cotton felt failed to meet the
requirements of the Rag Flock and Other Filling Materials
Regulations, 1961, in respect of the trash content. The
test figure for this sample was 7.7%; the permitted figure
under the Regulations is 7.5%. Four further samples of
this new cotton felt were taken and found to be satisfactory.
