Outworkers.
Information came to the knowledge of the Public Health
Department that 630 persons residing in Camberwell were employed
in carrying out work in their own homes on behalf of employers in
this Borough and elsewhere.
Eleven cautionary letters were sent to employers in the
Borough for neglecting to send a list of the names and addresses of
outworkers employed, as required by Section 107 of the Factory
and Workshop Act, 1901.
The following is an analysis of the industries in which these
workers were engaged.
