Maternal Mortality.
The number of Camberwell women whose deaths were attributed
to childbirth was 7. Of these, one was due to puerperal sepsis
and six to other puerperal causes. The mortality rate per 1,000
live and still births was therefore 2.12.

A confidential investigation report is forwarded to the Ministry
of Health in all cases of death from maternal causes occurring among
Camberwell mothers.
