The male inspectors and the woman inspector paid 1,111 and
502 visits respectively to factories, workshops and workplaces in the
Borough. Generally speaking these premises were found to be
in a satisfactory condition and no evidence was obtained to show
that employment in any of the industries carried on in the area
exercises an adverse influence on the health of the workers engaged.
