GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH
SERVICES FOR THE AREA.
Laboratory Facilities.
Bacteriological examinations are carried out by the Council's
Bacteriologist, Dr. Guy Bousfield, at his laboratory 134, Denmark
Hill, S.E.5, and the chemical analysis of food and drugs is undertaken
by the Public Analyst, Mr. Martin Priest, at his laboratory
4, Obelisk Parade, Lewisham.
A description of the specimens and articles submitted for
examination by these Officers of the Council appears in the tables
on pages 74, 75 and 94.
Ambulance Facilities.
Ambulances for the removal of infectious, non-infectious,
accident and maternity cases are provided by the London County
Council.
Nursing in the Home.
The following District Nursing Associations perform home
nursing services in various parts of the Borough : —
Ranyard Nurses.
Camberwell District Nursing Association.
Rotherhithe District Nursing Association.
The Catholic Nursing Institute.
The Brixton Nursing Association.
The East Dulwich and Dulwich Village Nursing Association.
