HOSPITAL CONSULTATION. The L.C.C. renewed the appointment of the Tuberculosis
Officer as Honorary Consultant Tuberculosis Officer to St. Giles'
Hospital and 244 cases were seen there in consultation with the Hospital
Medical Officer.
ARTIFICIAL PNEUMOTHORAX. A total of 612 refill treatments were
given by the Tuberculosis Officer at the St. Giles' Hospital clinic
(compared with 401 in 1938 and nil in 1937). There were also 751 refills
carried out at various other hospitals.
