Births.
The number of registered live births after adjustment for
inward and outward transfers was 3,185, giving a rate of 17.8
per 1,000 total population. Of these, 1,652 were males and
1,533 females. The number of illegitimate live births was 159
or 5 per cent, of the total live births registered.
