Suspected Food Poisoning.
Two complaints of illness of children, which were stated to
be due to the consumption of sweets, were investigated during
the year. In one case the child had eaten some chocolate bonbons
and in the other chocolate drops. Samples of the sweets
were purchased and sent to the Borough Analyst, who reported
favourably on each sample. The illness in each case was probably
due to an excessive number of sweets eaten.
