Table VIII. Supplemental Return. New cases of tuberculosis
coming to the knowledge of the Medical Officer of Health
during 1926 otherwise than by notification on Form A. or on
Form B. under the Public Health (Tuberculosis) Regulations,
1912. The information is obtained from the certificates of death
and from irregular notifications made after death. It will be
noted from Table X that the number of such cases has fallen
from 69 in 1925 to 34 in 1926, and, as already mentioned, may
account for the slight increase in the number of primary notifications
in 1926 over those of 1925.
