The Notification of Tuberculosis in Camberwell in 1926.
The number of primary notifications of tuberculosis in Camberwell
in 1926 was 506. 394 were cases of pulmonary tuberculosis
and 112 were cases of non-pulmonary tuberculosis.
On Table IV the number of primary notifications yearly since
1921 are compared. A steady fall in the number of primary notifications
of non-pulmonary tuberculosis will be noted. A slight
rise occurred in the number of primary notifications of pulmonary
tuberculosis in 1926 over that of 1925. The reason for the rise
may be explained by the fact that the number of un-notified cases
at death in 1926 was the lowest we have on record. Whereas, in
1925, 69 patients died before notification, in 1926 the number
who died before notification was reduced to 34.
