Public Health (Milk and Cream) Regulations, 1912 and 1917.
Report for the year ending 31 st December, 1926.
During the year 621 formal and 17 informal samples of milk
and one formal sample of separated milk, making a total of 639,
were submitted for analysis; all samples were certified to be free
from a preservative.
Of 9 formal samples and one informal sample of cream, 5 of
the former were found to contain a preservative. Two samples
of preserved cream did not exceed the statutory amount of 0.4 per
cent, of boric acid. The details herewith are set out in the form
prescribed by the Ministry of Health memorandum of January,
1921.
